Active Membership ($43.34 per month)

Any full-time, sworn law enforcement officer with arrest power who is employed by a government entity may become a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.  The Constitution and By-laws of the National FOP Lodge currently limit FOP Lodge #111 “Active Membership” to those Police Officers who are employed by a police agency within Wicomico County, and/or the Maryland State Police, Maryland Natural Resources Police, or any US Federal Law Enforcement agency.   The National FOP Constitution and By-laws also state that you cannot be a FOP Member of more than one Lodge.  So, if you are an active member and still want to be a member with us, please scroll down and look at the Associate Plan.

Constitution and By-Laws of the Fraternal Order of Police Article 4 – Membership

Section 1. – Any regularly appointed or elected and full-time employed law enforcement officer of the United States, any state or political subdivision thereof, or any agency may be eligible for membership in the Fraternal Order of Police, subject to the provisions of this Constitution. No person shall be denied membership on account of race, religion, color, creed, sex, age, or national origin.

Section 2. – Subject only to the provisions of this Constitution, each state and subordinate lodge shall be the judge of its membership. Each state and subordinate lodge shall establish requirements for membership in good standing of its respective membership, which requirements shall not be inconsistent herewith.

*As of June 2020 we are resuming the normal membership application process.  Any new member will be required to attend a normally scheduled meeting to be voted as a new member.

**Effective Nov. 9th our new meeting time is at 1800 hrs (6 pm), and meetings are still on the 2nd Monday of each month.


Retired Membership ($100 per year)

We accept retired police officers as members!  Retired members have full access to the Lodge, voting rights and can also hold positions on the Board of Directors.

Associate Membership (pricing below)

FOP Lodge #111 recently created two levels of “Associate Membership” to give options to those who are considering becoming affiliated with our Lodge.

Plan A is reserved for “Active Members” of other FOP Lodges and Civilian Employees of Police Agencies.  This membership includes access to the Lodge building and discounted rates on the Venue rental pricing.

Plan B is for Citizens in good standing with the community, and who are not Police Officers or employed by a police agency.  This membership includes limited access to the Lodge building and discounted rates on the Venue rental pricing (1 year membership required for discounted rates).  Plan B is also available to those who qualify for Plan A.

Both programs allow members to be a part of activities hosted by the FOP, and you’ll also be eligible for FOP Associate Member license plates.  Associate Membership applications must have two endorsements from “Active FOP #111” members.
